Information for children and parents

How old do I need to be to create an account?

To use our community tab where you can create an account and share photos or experiences with other users, you must be legally allowed to do so in your country. In some countries such as the USA, Canada or Australia, you must be 13 years old and above to create an account and share personal information. In other countries such as South Korea this is 14 years old and above. It depends on where you live.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Creating an account with GhostTube is not required to use our app. If you are not old enough to use the community features of our app, you can still use our app offline without creating an account.

Managing my child's personal information

How do we protect children?

We actively don't market our app to young children and generally prohibit children from making accounts on our app. However, if a child creates an account against our terms and conditions of use, we employ a number of controls to protect them online. These include:

  • Content filtering to automatically hide inappropriate images and content
  • Privacy controls allowing users to make their profiles private
  • Reporting controls allowing users to report offensive or harmful content
  • The ability for parents or guardians to contact us to request an account be deleted or removed.

In addition, our team of administrators will block accounts or make accounts private if they are suspected of belonging to a child.
